QISS Members’ Workshop: Planning activities for 2026 and beyond

We invite all members of the QISS research group to a workshop dedicated to discussing possible activities for 2026 and beyond.

Several ideas were introduced during the opening seminar, and this workshop is an opportunity to further develop, refine, and prioritize them — as well as to introduce new suggestions.

Proposed activities include:

• A PhD course (new or through involvement in existing courses)
• Research applications (e.g., UiA Priforsk or other funding schemes)
• Policy-oriented papers and notes
• Seminars (physical, webinar-based, or hybrid formats)
• Educational activities aimed at academic leadership
• A handbook
• A podcast

These ideas provide a strong starting point, but we warmly welcome additional or alternative proposals. While it will not be possible to pursue all initiatives simultaneously, the aim of the workshop is to agree on a realistic and engaging plan for the coming year.

Which activity or activities would you like to engage in as part of QISS in the coming year?
