Taking responsibility for research culture

We are committed to cultivating a strong and positive research culture. Recognizing that research culture is often inherited from management, supervisors, and educational environments, we aim to create our own PhD courses that equip students with the best possible foundation for their academic careers.

A strong research culture is more than just methodological rigor—it encompasses ethical awareness, responsible conduct, openness to feedback, and a commitment to excellence. Unfortunately, negative aspects of research culture, such as pressure to publish at all costs, unreflective adherence to tradition, or a lack of mentoring, can also be inherited and perpetuated. Our courses will integrate discussions on research ethics, collaboration, and responsible publishing practices, ensuring that PhD students are not only prepared to conduct high-quality research but also to contribute positively to the broader academic community.

Guest lectures

In addition to our dedicated PhD courses, our research group is committed to promoting research quality across academic levels. We are open to participating in guest lectures and workshops that focus on fostering a positive research culture.

This includes engaging with both PhD and master's students, sharing insights on responsible research practices, and addressing the challenges they may face throughout their academic journeys. By extending our efforts beyond our immediate courses, we aim to contribute to a broader academic culture where research integrity and quality are prioritized across disciplines.
